So, if all holds the way it went this first week, the Mariners will win approximately 33 games, every Felix start will be a no-decision for him while we make a 9th Inning rally to win it. The start to this season couldn’t have been more brutal; this is DEFINITELY a team that needed to come out of the gates hot. I think we’ll have a better sense of what this team is all about – especially offensively – after this homestand. Will Home Cooking make all the difference? Will the leadership on this ballclub be able to hold the team together through this rocky patch? Will we EVER be able to string together consecutive hits in the same inning? We needed to win 2/3 over the weekend and we won 1. We’re 2-5. We’ve got 3 against Oakland starting today and 3 against Detroit over the weekend. I’d like to see a 4-2 record in those games. Treading water means going .500; these Oakland games are critical. Rowland-Smith, Fister, Vargas … ouch. Dammit, I want a sweep!
