The Seahawks Come Home To Play Minnesota

Things were a little worrisome a few weeks ago when the Vikings were 4-1.  Then, they lost to the Redskins, they beat a suddenly-bad Cardinals team, and lost again, this time to the Bucs on Thursday night.  They’re 5-3, reeling, and honestly, could you blame them if they were looking ahead to the following week when they host the Lions?

The Vikings won’t win this Sunday.  That’s the long and the short of it.  The Seahawks are too damn good at home.  We’re going to get after Ponder, we’re going to keep AP under 70 yards rushing, we’re going to figure out a way to keep Harvin in check, and we’re going to beat them by double-digits.  The Bucs and the Redskins were both able to score over 30 points on the Vikings, so they can’t be THAT good on defense.  I suspect we’ll be able to crack the mid-to-high 20s and keep them to around 7-10 points.  With turnovers.  OH BOY will there be turnovers!

I don’t have a whole lot on this game.  Truth be told, I’m probably not even going to be able to SEE much of this game.  I’ll be in the airport on my way back from San Francisco and (hopefully) relishing a Husky football victory.  Or, I’ll be nursing a bear of a hangover trying like mad to get the game on my in-flight TV.

Look for Wilson to continue improving, look for the running game to do some damage, and look for the 12th Man to be extra-rowdy.  It’s been a few.  The Seahawks need them more than ever.  The 12th Man will rise to the challenge.
