Seattle Sports Hell Goes To Mexico

Not a whole lot going on in the news this week, I know …

It’s that time of year again!  Actually, Mexico is a first for me, but it’s definitely good to get away from Seattle for a bit.

I’m flying out this morning and won’t be back until Sunday evening, so the site is going dark the rest of the week.  It’s just as well.  I’m pretty much out of Seahawks shit to write about and I’m not prepared to go full-boar into Mariners coverage until things actually start happening.

If you need something to do while I’m gone, I’m sure I have some things that could interest at least SOME of you.

There’s a band called Cloud Nothings I just found out about.  Their album “Attack on Memory” is pretty sweet.  If you like hip hop, check out this song from Kendrick Lamar; I’ve already listened to it about a hundred times in the last week.  It’s fucking SICK.

Sticking with the music kick I’m on, this Grantland series called “The Winners’ History of Rock and Roll” is as good as it gets.  The third part in the series is on Bon Jovi and well worth the read.  If you ask me, Bon Jovi doesn’t hold a candle to Guns N’ Roses, but they beat the ass of Journey all day every day.

In other news, if you’re like me, then you refuse to pay for cable television because you don’t want a million channels you’ll never watch.  Well, God willing, this will soon change.  Then again, I made it through all last season without watching the Seattle Mariners on a regular basis … seems like I’m just inviting more agony into my life by changing things now.

OK, that’s all I’ve got.  Feliz Navidad, bitches …
